Objectives

 The main objective of this course is to provide presentations of well testing principles, equipment, procedures and operations, also interpretation part is covered. An integrated approach to well test realization and interpretation is emphasized throughout the course. The participants will then have hands on sessions with well testing software.

After completing this course, participants will learn:

Well testing foundation

Identifying the major types of well tests performed, and give the principal goal for each type.

Well testing equipment and operation

Data Collection, checking and Interpretation of a well test

How to Supervise a DST/ Well test Operation

Interpret  DST and other well tests using a commercial software.

· Introduction

· Surface and down hole well testing equipment

· Clean up period

· Main test for :

            Oil reservoirs: Build up and Drawdown

           Gas and Gas condensate reservoirs : flow after flow, isochronal or modified isochronal tests

· Test duration for drawdown and build up.

· Review and Discuss some real  DST reports and programs

· Fluid and rock properties data used for design and interpretation of a well test.

· Flow regimes definition and identification

· Well test interpretation methods
