Objectives

At the end of this module, the student understands the prerequisite concepts for the Course on Well Testing; he is able to calculate Flowrates or Pressure Drawdowns in (pseudo-)steady State Conditions, Evaluate the Need for Well Stimulation (from the results of a Well Test); he has good knowledge of the various techniques used in Reservoir Monitoring such as: avoid premature water Breakthrough, reduce water Coning from a Bottom Aquifer, stabilize Gas Front in both Miscible and Immiscible Gas Injection, assess the need for well activation.
